I just received word from Louise that Rhonda has pneumonia and though she is currently at home, she is not doing too well, and really could use some thoughts and prayers.

This is in essence what she had to say:

"am letting everyone know I have pneumonia;  I have fluid in the left lower lung.   They are treating it at home, however, if it gets any worse, I will be hospitalized.

I am hurting very bad.   I would like for all of you to think of me and say a prayer for me as I need it.   I have been feeling very tired for 3 days and then last night I woke up with chest and back pain.   My cardiac levels are fine. My white count is sky high.   I am going to bed.   Thank you and I may be off the computer for a few days."

Rhonda has been dealing with so much these last few weeks, if not longer and so if you can think of her and say an extra prayer, I know it would mean a lot to her.

Eileen

I spoke to Rhonda this AM; she is taking her antibiotics and resting and hopefully will be feeling better soon. Please keep her in your thoughts.

Eileen, please let Rhonda know that our thoughts and prayers are with her and that we want her back here just as quick as she feels strong enough. Have there been any further updates on her condition since the 6th?

I am going to call Rhonda later today, but Louise has been speaking to her regularly and keep me updated.

She let me know that Rhonda is taking two antibiotics together, had more x-rays and tests, and has something called pulmonary effusion which is different than pneumonia, and also might be confused with congestive heart failure. But here is some info on it:

http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000086.htm

Hopefully the new antibiotics will begin to take effect soon! Eileen

God Bless and I'll keep on praying hon,

I know that pain, too...I treid to go back to work, I could not do it. I am saying a prayer for you. I have asked my Psych. for something for sleep, he refuses, yesterday I gave him some literature on ARDS!!! He looked at me like I was nuts. Anyway, he still said NO. I am going to a NEW one this week, I cannot continue at this rate. We HAVE to hang in there. Blessings.
