I just received a prayer request from Amanda, who's sister in law, Betty Jo is in ARDS Crisis..please pray for her:

Amanda writes:

Thanks for your consideration. She had went to the ER two other times having problems with fever, coughing and just not feeling well but was sent back home. After the third trip to the ER she was admitted and then diagnosed with pneumonia and ards. After being admitted on Monday, April 5th to a room she was moved to CCU on Wednesday the 7th and put in a drug induced coma and put on a ventilator @ 100%. As of today they have been able to decrease it to 70%, she has a fever of 102.6 but her heart in staying stable. Yes, please add her to your prayer circle. Thank you again.

Please continue to pray for Betty Jo..

Well, she ran a fever on 102.5-103 for about 3-4 days and they finally got it broke yesterday morning to 99.8. Her ventilator was turned back up to 100% as of Saturday because she nearly coded again. They put chest tubes in on Tuesday and drained a liter off her lung within an hour. They said the fluid was compressing the lung and getting that fluid out would allow it to expand back out, but they were saying her lungs are still failing right now and that was the ARDS keeping them from working. Yesterday they moved the breathing tube to her throat to keep her face from breaking down. Dr. Young said her chest x-ray did look good last night. So we are staying hopeful and prayerful that she will get better and get through this. Thanks for the prayers and for checking on her.

Amanda
